I’ve occasionally had months where more than 70% of my clients are new. My definition of a novice within professional Femdom varies, but for the most part, I define a novice as someone with five or less hours of professional experiences under their belt. It’s an arbitrary designation, but it’s what I’ve set it to, so there’s that.

HOW TO PICK A DOMINATRIX;

With the advent of the internet and social media, this may seem immensely overwhelming. Dommes are a dime a dozen on Twitter, and kinky dating apps are overflowing with fakes who try to shill you out of “deposits” or “slave contracts”. With that in mind, the very first piece of advice I have for you is to take your time in booking. Just because a woman is hot does NOT mean she is a good Domme, nor is she even real. I highly suggest booking with an experienced and legitimate Domme for your first professional session to safeguard you from bad experiences. I’ve met one too many subs who held off on sessioning because their first session was with a Domme who didn’t know what she was doing nor did she care about the sub. This can lead to lukewarm experiences at best, and at worst, severe bodily danger. Do not hire a professional who is not a professional. Simple. Your first professional session will probably be meaningful and memorable to you. Choose somebody who understands that and who has both the experience and the passion to guide you along. So how do you know if she’s experienced and legitimate? Take a look at her website. Does she even have a website? That should be your first indicator to whether someone is real. Nearly all legitimate Dommes have a website because it is typically the first source of contact and information about us. Read through her website. Read through as much as possible before corresponding with her. Her website is there for a reason – to give the viewer an understanding of what she is capable of. Get an idea of who she is and how she presents herself online. Treat booking like you would any other professional occupation. Be respectful. Or else goddess comes after you with a paddle. (I’m just kidding, but seriously, be respectful.)

HOW TO BOOK WITH A PROFESSIONAL BDSM MISTRESS

You’ve finally narrowed it down to one or two (or maybe three) Mistresses that you want to session with. Great! That wasn’t so hard, was it? Now it’s time to finally take the next big step and book the damned session. First off, have you read her website? I mean this truly and seriously: have you read her website? Have you read her FAQ? Have you read her interests? Have you read her hard limits? Have you read all the possible pertinent information about booking a session that you possibly can? If you have, go ahead and book. If you haven’t, the likelihood is high that she (or I) will ignore you. It’s usually all too clear when somebody has not done their due diligence and has just filled out a contact form with zero knowledge of what they are going into. The information is on the website for a reason, and to not read it also entails that the Mistress will have to repeat numerous details that have already been established. That’s annoying. You don’t want to be annoying, do you? Because being annoying means not getting a session. And if you’ve made it this far, you probably want that session. If she has a contact form, fill it out clearly, succinctly, and with detail. Do not input one-word responses that show zero effort – if you put in zero effort, the ProDomme will also want to put in zero effort. Thought and consideration make applicants stand out, and I guarantee you that you will want to stand out if it is a Domme who is in demand. I personally turn away at least 50% of applicants because they have not given my very thorough form any thought. I’m sure some of these applicants could have been a fun time, but crappy first impressions are major boner killers. You want me to have a boner, don’t you? While all sessions require some amount of preparation and clean up before and after, a complex session requires even more thought and effort upfront, and a thank you gift can help to highlight that. Do not go into the session and expect to drop all of your interests on the Mistress without a thorough introduction beforehand. This will not bode well for you as she may have prepared for a different scene and may not have the appropriate tools or outfits at hand. If she uses an email address to book, do the same thing. Give as much information on who you are and what you are looking for as possible. Give your available times and dates. Tell her how long of a session you are looking for (“for life” is not an answer, jackasses). If she asks specific questions out of you, answer them. It’s a very straightforward process. Chances are that the Mistress has done this thousands of times already and knows exactly what she needs to ask and what information she needs to have. Go ahead and answer them truthfully. Don’t omit information just because you feel embarrassed about it. If you’re embarrassed about your needs and desires, I guarantee that they will never be met and fulfilled. The more insight we have on you, the better the session will be. I promise! Many professional Dominatrices require deposits to secure a session. If she requires one, then expect to send one. There are many ways to send deposits without a paper trail, if privacy and discretion are a large concern for you. If you can’t agree on a means of deposit, then you probably will not be able to session with a Mistress that requires one… and that’s life! If you really want to session with her, I’m sure you can find a way. With that in mind, scammers and impersonators are very common on the internet. To ensure that you are sending a deposit to the real Mistress, only contact her through all her official preferred channel.

BEFORE THE BDSM SESSION Treat the session like you are going to work, or maybe more like you are going on vacation. I say both because first impressions matter, but also your personal schedule should be sorted out before heading out to have fun. If she has a confirmation procedure, be sure to follow that procedure to a T. I personally have a multistep, multi-day procedure that starts from the moment the session is put in my calendar up until the actual session itself. My procedure is put in place for a reason. It works splendidly, so it’s best to follow it rather than assuming the session will happen just because you sent in a deposit. If you are the forgetful type, put the session and all the confirmation steps in your calendar, for chrissakes. You’ve made it this far – you don’t want to fudge it up just because you forgot to call in, right? The night before the session, try to get a good night’s sleep. Sleep is one of the pillars of health, and if you’re out of it the day of, it’ll make everything else a lot more difficult – from having your hands tied up to taking more extreme sensations. You want to be cogent for your session. I know that your nerves will probably keep you up for a bit, but do your best to be as energized and relaxed as possible for playtime. You want to make the most of it. On the day of, make sure you’re clean. I can’t believe I have to say this, but please arrive clean. Dominatrices will touch you and get all up in your personal space, so unless you want a session where you’re locked in a cage and ignored for three hours, take a shower before the session. Stinky slaves are gross. I have personally made people shower before their session because of a lack of personal hygiene, and I can assure you that the time spent doing your courteous ablutions will cut into your precious session time. If you know that you don’t have time to clean yourself up before the session, ask the Mistress in advance if you can arrive a couple minutes early to take a shower. I’ve had many clients come straight to the dungeon after a long flight or after work, and as long as they let me know ahead of time, I’m more than happy to accommodate that. Make sure you eat a little bit before your first session. You don’t need a full meal, but you do need to make sure your blood sugar levels are stable. Fainting in the middle of play is not fun, and especially since it is your first time, you probably will have no idea how your body will react to certain activities. It’s best to start the session in a stable sort of way, and nourishing your body is one of the best ways of doing that. If you haven’t had time to eat, consider bringing an energy bar or any kind of easy calories to the studio. If you’re into **** play, I suggest learning how to do enemas. There is a lot of trial and error in this, so don’t worry about getting it right the first time…but at least make the effort. If you’re into heavy bondage or pain play, I highly suggest stretching before the session. Cramps are no bueno. Each session has its own nuances, and with time, you will learn what you need to personally do to prepare for the session. Your Mistress may give you instructions on this as well, and if she does, it’s best to follow them for your own good. Oh also, don’t arrive drunk, wasted, or high until the point of sloppiness. While I know quite a few subs that do this (and am not particularly pleased about it), I am personally of the belief that your first professional Domination experience should be done sober. The answer is no. It is always no.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A PRO DOMME SESSION

And you’re here! You’re finally here! You’ve researched your Mistress, succeeded in contacting her, sending a deposit, booking the session, confirming, and now you’re finally here! You’re probably a bundle of nerves, and that’s ok. Your Mistress can probably tell (because pretty much all novices are nervous). It’s normal to be nervous. In fact, that means that you’re excited for the experience – and that’s good! Plus, sometimes anxious people are fun to scare… You’re probably wondering how the session will start off. Will she open the door, grab you by the collar, drag you in, rip off your clothes, and just start beating you? While that’s fun in fetish porn, I can tell you with full assurance that this will not happen with any reputable Domme. Your very first session with a Mistress means that both of you need to feel each other out. Most sessions begin with bringing the client into the dungeon, directing where to put the remaining tribute (if done in cash), and sitting the client down for a brief consultation. The session begins only after all of this is done. While you may have answered a lot of questions online, there may have been certain subjects omitted or new questions that may arise on the Domme’s part after a second reading of your session application. This is the time when those questions will be asked and answered. I personally like to go over the client’s interests and hard limits again in person because I find that I can read a lot from someone’s body language while they are talking about their interests or background. An in-person consultation is invaluable to me as it can provide a lot of insight towards how someone truly feels about something – whereas most people are not that revealing when writing something down. I also use this time to field any questions the client may have about me or the session. Remember: this is your experience. Feel free to ask whatever you need to have the fullest experience possible. This time usually does count towards the total session time, so while you may want to talk at length, keep that in mind. Most studios are rented by the hour, and frequently Dommes will have sessions before and after you, which means that the total length of interaction you have with the Dominatrix will be constrained to that time. Some people do want to just chat for the majority of the session time because they need time to get in the headspace, and that’s ok as well. Just be sure to consider that aspect about yourself when deciding how long of a session you want. BOOKING:

• Take your time and research before booking. Don’t go for the first hot person you see.
• Go to a legitimate Domme for your first session.
• Look at her website. Seriously, look at her website.
• Gauge your compatibility to the Dominatrix via her website, social media, and clips.
• If you’re unsure about the Mistress, contact her through her paid lines (Niteflirt, SextPanther, whatever she uses) or schedule a consultation to see if you mesh well with her.
• Treat your first correspondence with her like a job application – be that through her contact form, email, or whatever application process she uses.
• Sometimes you don’t know what you like yet, and that’s ok. Be honest and truthful about your background that brought you to her so she can guide you along.

BEFORE:

• Follow her confirmation procedure, if she has one. It should be pretty straightforward.
• Get some sleep the night before.
• Make sure you eat a little bit before the session to keep your blood sugar levels stable.
• Be in a stable mindset when you arrive – don’t arrive inebriated. A small drink is fine. A sloppy drink is not.
• Get to the location a couple minutes early. Do not enter the premises without her permission.

DURING:

AFTER:

Once you get your first BDSM Domination session out of the way, your second session will be far less daunting. You may never get rid of the nervousness of meeting a new Domme for the first time, and that’s ok. But at least you’ll have an idea of what you’re walking into now. And with that said, I wish you luck on your first kinky adventure, perverts!

IMPERSONATORS, SCAMMERS, AND GENERAL TOMFOOLERY

I’ve received yet another message today about how someone fell for a scammer. A profile imitating me on yet another adult/kinky dating site had lured $500 for a deposit scam out of the hapless man under the pretense of real-life play. He’s upset about it, of course, and told me that I should do more to “protect my good name”. This is not new. I receive messages from men getting burnt on deposit scams from fake profiles of me every week, and messages about copycat profiles on social media and dating apps every single day. This is not an exaggeration. I’ve had a rash of impersonators in the past year. Why? I have no **** idea. All I do know is that a couple of them are extremely persistent, and I am able to recognize repeat offenders by the style of the username they choose and how they speak. Some of them have gone so far as to make 30+ repeat accounts of me on various sites, even after I’ve taken down their profiles over and over and over again. I do my best to take down the profiles as I receive notice of them, but sometimes it is actually impossible as some of the sites require me to give them verification that I can’t or am unwilling to provide, or sometimes the help section of a site or app is entirely unresponsive. Furthermore, I am taking down accounts left and right on a weekly basis. This has become damn near a full time job – and mind you, I already have a full time job. So here’s the thing: I don’t expect this to ever stop. People will continue messaging me about new profiles, I will do my best to take them down, and the people who do this for a living will keep on making new profiles because there is no true recourse for them catfishing other people as me. Ultimately, I am writing this post so that I can easily send it to each new person who messages me saying that they got burned on yet another deposit scam. For one, it absolves me of any responsibility of these men’s losses. For another, it is intended to educate others on how to not fall for these scams. And if, after reading all of this, you still fall for yet another deposit scam…well then, the onus easily falls on you. Not me, not the scammer – you. I just want to make this very clear: I don’t like the existence of these scammers. The consequence is that Pro-Dommes like me, who actually love what we do, find it harder to take deposits from people who would have ordinarily done so because they fell for scammers before. And here’s the thing: deposits are industry standards (at least in major US cities) because of the high rate of timewasters and fakes. If I don’t receive a deposit from you, the likelihood is pretty much guaranteed that we will never play. When you, as a potential sub, become jaded that you gave money to the wrong person and no longer want to do so with anyone else, your likelihood of playing with legitimate Dominatrices diminishes. As Pro-Dommes, our time is valuable and we expect that to be respected since we have other subs who can and will take your place. And perhaps, in time, you will continue becoming more and more jaded of Femdom because you start playing with inexperienced Dommes who don’t know how to handle their business with professionalism, which leads to a greater suspicion of Femdom. It’s a vicious cycle. I do not want anyone to become suspicious about playing with Pro-Dommes. Most of us genuinely love what we do and want the entire process to be streamlined and easy so that we can get to the playing faster. Scammers make subs more reticent to send deposits, and that ultimately makes it more difficult for me to play with those subs. It is not my job to sway you that I am the real thing. I won’t do it as it simply isn’t worth my time, and you then won’t play with me. And who knows? We probably would have had an incredible time together. With that diatribe out of the way, let’s get to the educational listicle portion of this post.  

HOW TO SPOT A SCAMMER

1. Does it seem like it’s too good to be true? It probably is.
2. Remember those emails from African princes about wire transfers to receive their fortune? Did you ever fall for those? Do you still fall for those?
3. If not, then why would you fall for someone reaching out to you for something that seems a little too good to be true? Which leads me to the second point…
4. Did “she” reach out to you first? Remember, Professional Domination is a business of sorts (hence…”Professional”). Businesses like mine largely do not cold call potential subs asking for money. For one, we are too busy with sessions, videos, or touring to be flat-out messaging everyone. For another, subs are expected to approach Pro-Dommes, and not the other way around.
5. If she really is as successful as she says she is, why would she waste her time looking for subs when she already has the acclaim to bring subs to her?
6. Unless she is looking for something in specific within her lifestyle (for example, I’m active on kinky dating apps because I like having many cleaning slaves), do not expect an established Domme to ever be the first one to reach out to you asking you to pay her.
7. Furthermore, if my primary advertising strategy was reaching out to every person who expresses a desire to be a slave in their dating profile, that wouldn’t be a very effective strategy, now would it? I could spend literal years messaging everybody who seemed to have a submissive itch in their bone and that still wouldn’t cover every single person. You work for me, not me working for you.
8. Does “she” speak in syntax that doesn’t seem to be cohesive? For example, does she speak extremely formally in one email and then extremely casually in another? Is her grammar impeccable in one message but then she doesn’t punctuate at all in another?
9. This is a classic tip-off that she is copy-pasting from other websites to take on the verbiage of their D/s.
10. A helpful tip for this would be to say what she writes out loud. Does it sound like it’s all coming from the same person?
11. If it doesn’t sound cohesive, try Googling the more formal-sounding things she says. Chances are that you’ll find she ripped it off someone else’s website.
12. Does “she” have a legitimate website and social media presence? Pretty much all contemporary and active Pro-Dommes will have both since they are the industry standard. Check to see if her website is professional, and check to see how many followers her social media has. If she says she’s famous (for example, sends you videos of herself), she should have a fairly respectable social media following. Expect followers in the thousands and an active interaction on her Twitter or Instagram. On Twitter, expect her to be chatting with other legitimate Pro-Dommes.
13. For social media, expect her to have activity that spans for as long as she says she has been active for.
14. Are “her” pictures hi-res or are they pixelized? Pixelized pictures are a classic case of someone screencapping a legitimate Mistress’ profile to steal the photo. Why would someone screenshot their own photos when they should already have copies on their computer or phone?
15. Have you reverse Google image searched “her” photos? You can also use reverse Bing image search for more adult photos. If the photos line up with who she says she is, go to her website and learn more about her to be sure that it’s the right person.
16. If you don’t know what I am talking about, here are some helpful links from Google and Bing. The internet also has loads of wider-encompassing reverse image searches such as this one.
17. Once you reverse image search her, it will be easy enough to see if the name she is presenting herself as is her actual name. If it’s a name that doesn’t line up with those photos, then you know she’s a fake. If it is a name that lines up with who she says she is, it should be easy enough to google her name and find her website.
18. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS TACTIC ENOUGH. Reverse image searching is your FRIEND. Do it on all of her images. Do it on everybody. (And on a less pedantic note, it’s fun to reverse image search people because sometimes you find more fun photos of them…)
19. Is “her” name spelled correctly? Jesus christ. I can’t believe I have to say this one, but I have had messages from people who thought they were actually talking to me, but had my name entirely incorrect. My name is Helena Locke, not helna lock , not Jennifer, not kate…
20. Does “she” speak with poor grammar? Again, a friendly reminder here that Professional Domination is a business, and all good businesses will choose to speak with good grammar, spelling, and punctuation. (And especially if she’s asking money from you, expect her to be businesslike about it.)
21. When you send an email to any other business, do you expect them to respond to you casually, with misspellings, glaring grammatical errors, and no punctuation whatsoever? No – you expect them to be professional and concise. Expect the same out of any Mistress who takes her own craft with respect.
22. The only exception for this would be non-native English speakers, but if you’re reading this, you probably speak English fluently and are seeking an English-speaking Domme. And in any case, if she sounds like she’s not fluent in English, that probably entails that she doesn’t live in your English-speaking country…so why the hell would you think she would come all the way over from her country to dominate you?? Please refer to point #1 of this list.
23. Does “she” ask you to use Western Union? COME ON! Always be wary of someone you don’t know who asks you to use Western Union. Craigslist literally has warnings about this on their site. “African princes” always ask for Western Union. Western Union is the standard for scammers.
24. WU typically asks for the recipient’s full legal name, something of which most Pro-Dommes do not reveal to first-time subs.
25. The same goes for Moneygram or wire transfers.
26. (Please note that I have used Western Union for deposits a couple of times for sessions, however it is usually the last option after all other deposit options have been exhausted and eliminated.)
27. Does “her” Western Union or Moneygram address line up with the city “she” is supposed to be in?
28. Say that for some reason, this Mistress can only use these two options. (I have used these services on rare occasion.) Why would you send a deposit to someone in, say, Virginia, when she lives in LA?
29. I’m going to say that 99 times out of 100, the Mistress you are supposedly talking to does not have an assistant in a city outside of hers to receive your deposit, either. If she has done so much work to reach out to you and get your money, why would she hire an assistant  to receive the money?? She’s obviously working so hard for that deposit that she probably wouldn’t have the money to hire an assistant, anyway…
30. Is “she” chatting with you for free? Because LOL, Pro-Dommes typically do not chat with subs for free unless they are looking for someone for their lifestyle interests, have some commonality with you like mutual friends, know you in real life, are responding to something genuinely useful that you have notified them of, or are chastising you for being an annoying online sub.
31. Paying a deposit for a session afterwards does not count as paying for a chat. It means you are paying for that session following the chat. When I say chatting, I mean dirty talk like calling you her slave, telling you what she’ll do to you, and overall giving you a boner via words and pictures without you initially respectfully asking to pay her for her time.
32. The reason why established Pro-Dommes do not chat for free is because we are constantly inundated by men who want our attention and want to know “what we’ll do to them”. Remember, our time is money. Why would we throw free dirty talk at every horny **** that comes our way? If I did that, I would not have enough time to play for myself or lead a normal life. Furthermore, dirty talk is free play. Yes, dirty talking is play – and the likelihood is extremely high that you, a complete total internet stranger, are not special enough for the privilege of that free play.
33. I personally keep all my initial correspondences with new subs as to-the-point as possible. You would let me know your interests, and I would let you know if we were compatible, quickly followed by session details. Any messages I send are for setting up the terms of the actual playdate, and anything else that may be more than that would be held via my tributed call and text message lines.
34. I know it is difficult, but don’t let your erection give you the benefit of the doubt. A restaurant isn’t going to comp your appetizer just because they like you, nor will a Pro-Domme chat with you for free.
35. I specifically say “established” when talking about this point because I have personally made the mistake of chatting with people as a very green novice. I quickly learned that my time was money and that I didn’t have enough time to seduce every random stranger on the internet that wanted my attention.
36. Does “she” have a social media account that is not the same as “her” primary one? This is assuming that you know her primary account. Email or message the primary account confirming if that other account is her. More times than not, it is not her.
37. Some women have back-up accounts (like me) or private accounts just for paying viewers. A primary account will usually link to said accounts to validate their legitimacy.   In any case, I’ve spent far too much time writing this and feel like I have personally exhausted this topic at large.I hope you’ve found this post helpful. Keep these key points in mind when chatting to someone who wants your money.

COVID AND CLEANING PROTOCOL With pandemic becoming the new normal, I’ve taken a couple extra precautions to ensure our safety during scene. Please note that these protocols may change from time to time given the changing landscape of COVID – this protocol was written with the spread of Omicron in mind, but as new variants arise and science adapts, I may change and update to match new information. I am fully vaccinated, and my last booster shot was on November 11th. I have started taking PCR tests again every week. As of January 2022, my current COVID protocol is such: * I require full vaccination that is recent up to eight months of the last shot. If you got a shot earlier this year and more than six months has passed, please consider getting a booster shot. Boosters are recommended by the CDC and pretty much all major medical establishments to receive full efficacy of vaccination, and current studies suggest that a booster may have some protection against Omicron. * I am not sessioning with unvaccinated people, and this is not up for debate. I am regularly in contact with people who are at higher risk for COVID and would prefer not to increase the possibility of transmission to them. * Should you pass all these measures, I am still allowing maskless sessions. Masked sessions are also available upon request. My cleaning protocol remains much the same as when I started, which largely means hospital-grade disinfectant and many, many, many gloves. I knowingly engage in activities that result in some amount of biohazard waste, and my stringency in cleaning reflects that. * For general toy and furniture cleaning, I use 70% isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on anything that may have been touched. * Cavicide is used on anything in contact with bodily fluids, following instructions to leave it on for over five minutes for full disinfection. * All insertables are covered with prophylactics. I always thoroughly wash any used insertables with dish soap after use, regardless of how clean it may appear, and then follow up with Cavicide. * Clean towels are placed on all furniture before use, including carpets. Should any kind of messy play occur, I use large disposable blue puppy pads on top of the towel. Should the play be extra messy, I use an extra large disposable tarp underneath it all. * I change gloves religiously. Seriously, nobody wants dirty glove residue smeared all over the furniture. This can mean many pairs of gloves during one session. * Any trash that would be considered biohazard is immediately tossed after the session. Should you have any question or suggestions about my pandemic protocol, I am open to discussion to improve my preventative measures. The only thing not up for discussion is vaccination status and negative COVID tests. x
